Project Leadership

Project Lead 

1. Ask what he is doing 

2. Guide him 

3. Allocate tasks and tell you can do this way, this way 

4. Take ownership of all resources for the project functions  

5. Review the code written by junior team members 

6. Plan tasks for team members, Status & Date of completion etc. 

7. Report to the manager what team members did and will be doing 

8. Take follow ups from team members 

9. Directly tell them you are making delay, Chase the people 

10. Split task, give simple task and merge it

11. When stuck ask them to drop email

12. Immediately report to management if team member is not functioning well 

13. Code review: Ask to mail change details along with commit id


Scrum - Daily standup
1. what you are working on?
2. What you have implemented so far
3. When you will finish the task?
4. Give commands to the team members at the end of a statement.


If you get stuck anywhere just make a note of it and try to emulate that thing and continue with the next part 

what I mean by emulate is don't wait till the back-end services become available 

continue with mock objects, by mock I mean in memory class just to represent the UI data binding.

 

1. Ask the team to set high standards, don’t settle for anything but the best

1. Be a good LISTENER. 

2. Encourage others to TALK about themselves. 

3. Always remember people’s NAME.  Repeat the person's name while talking.

4. Talk in terms of people’s INTEREST or LIKES.

5. Feel people that they are IMPORTANT.

  1. Use their name when speaking to them

  2. Say their name immediately after they introduce them

  3. Continuously use their name in conversation
